WAVE Media service fails to start

Hi,

Wonder if you guys could help me with the above issue.

We have a 2K3 R2 server with the Media service installed from the web interface of our management box and all seems fine.

When the service starts it comes up with a C++ runtime error.

I have attempted to reinstall both the service, the .net framework and also the c++ redist and it still appears. I have disabled AV to ensure it is not that interfering and still the same

On the CLI I have entered wavemediaservice --cmdline and unfortunately I cannot copy and paste the display due to it being a secure system, however, it gets to the section where it attempts to start NortelManager and fails stating :-

"The Application has requested the runtime to terminate in an unusual way"

The exact same thing is happening on an XP SP3 box
